Dr Jay Kuikel is an experienced General Practitioner and Psychiatry Registrar with over six years of general practice experience and 2.5 years of formal psychiatry training. He began his medical career at Ballarat Base Hospital, where he worked for two years (2019–2020) across emergency and general medicine.

Following this, Dr Kuikel moved to the Northern Territory, gaining valuable experience in both general practice and psychiatry. He later continued his GP and psychiatry training in Shepparton, further strengthening his skills in managing a wide range of medical and mental health conditions.

Dr Kuikel has a strong interest in mental health and chronic disease management and is committed to delivering compassionate, patient-centred care. He has now returned to Ballarat to make it his long-term home and is pleased to serve the local community.

Dr Kuikel welcomes new patients at Ballarat East Clinic. He provides comprehensive general practice care, including mental health support, chronic disease management, minor procedures, and ongoing health care for individuals and families.
